crafted in their fine tradition, aufgehoben continue to carve harsh chunks of noise with this, their first departure on 7" vinyl. guitar and electronics sound like neither, while sprawling percussion tumbles across the rotten landscape.

the two tracks on this monochromatic record jump right for the jugular, leaving little time for subtlety or reflection. not recommended for antique styluses. there are 524 copies of this picture disc record.

pretty damn neat grafting of the whole no-fun aesthetic onto the carnival-esque micro-bounce of felix kubin, mouse on mars, et.al... absolutely gorgeous thing to boot (metallic silk-screened cover, swirl-a-girl vinyl...)

'male plumage lp

'male plumage' is leprechaun catering's third and finest long-player, a fuzzy trip down the rabbit hole where red is blue and up is down. influenced only by animated gifs and ice cream, leprechaun catering conjure the spirit of harry partch, if he were locked in a room with nickelodeon and a scratched copy of fast eddie's 'acid thunder' as his only entertainment. each track is enough to fill your living room with a most pleasant gas, enjoyed best while counting your veins and dipping fondue.

there are 326 copies pressed, each on colored vinyl (opaque orange with red and purple splatters). the a-side center sticker is hand-numbered out of 326. 300 copies come with four-color hand-screened chipboard sleeves.

released july 2006.

nice weird comp of a seemingly random assortment of folks/approaches cobbled together by white denim label-head matthew kosloff. only it does make a lot of sense once the record starts... great e*rock vintage layout. a nice thing, artists involved have (mostly) gone on to bigger & better things (believe this was one of the first appearances on record by hair police.)

a collection of unreleased tracks from some of the best avant-garde artists on the scene. you get all unreleased material from black eyes, hair police, doormouse (violent turd, planet mu recording artist), my name is rar rar (members of the flying luttenbachers), small rocks (matt wand of stock, hausen and walkman), pearls and brass, nice nice, and mammal. eleven tracks total, pressed in an edition of 1050 on colored vinyl.
