the propensity towards speed on this one eclipses the “prog” tendencies found throughout “world turns on its hinge” ... as much as dom’s multi-tracked buzz-saw guitar & witchy, exasperated vocals are spot-on, i’m kinda more impressed by kris lapke’s airtight drumming & clean production touches thoughout, elevating this from a genre-exercise into a full-fledged contender ... |
