long snatches of tape slown-down animal noises (coming across the red-headed step-child of basil kirchin’s “worlds within worlds”) meet with low-end piano drones & errant organ ... lengthy, transfixing work ; akin to wandering the zombie-wolf filled forest @ night ...

starting out with a rising pipe organ drone (ala “schlongo ...”) charlemagne first does some lovely drone-singing before sitting down @ the grand piano & “strumming” for the remainder of the session ... one of the better slowscans & an essential milemarker in palestine’s vast discography ...

fluxus artist joe jones’s amazing array of solar-powered music-producing apparatus (performing on guitars, bells, and percussion instruments), recorded at middelburg’s de bleehsal, november, 1989 ...

fans of the automatic-music spec (esp. remko scha’s machine guitars, or even rafael toral / the maciunas ensemble’s rubber-band covered motors) w/ really need to hear this one ... once the first (36+ minute !!!) side gets going (listen to the sound-sample), there’s a remarkable array of off-time rhythmic hocketing and harmonic interplay for the rest of the side ...

comes with a pink 11” x 11” sheet w/ jones’ cv printed theron ; highly recommended !!!
