class of sixty nine “journey through the past b/w golden hair” seven inch single record

september 2007 release ; ... debut release on this shadowy parisian “art” imprint, run by one joseph “discipline” ghosn, an established author (he recently published “romans graphiques” as well as a french-language la monte young biography) ...

... each of these come as a rather highly detailed block-print (two color) on a heavy card, with a colored-vinyl 7” tucked into a sleeve ; the music here may be by joseph himself, maybe not ... either way this strokes some fine “outsider” moves (esp. the b-side, perfectly encapsulating syd’s despair via an almost tuneless vocal delivery run through a metallic mono-resonant delay line over an extremely minimal echo-guitar depiction of “golden hair” ‘s melody-line ) ...
