| december 2010 release ; fully authorized, legit edition of this 1975, all-time pina classic, finally re-issued on “god’s format” :: professionally duplicated & imprinted cro2 cassette ... to wit ::
... one of those records that i’ve seen on ebay a number of times but never gave a second-thought about because of the “new age” connotations ... but here, listening to it in depth in comfort: damn !!!
there are a few really nice pieces on here! namely the close-your-eyes-and-its-fennesz chord-wash of “angel play”, the muted drones of “cloud prayer”... and in fact any of the pieces over 4 or so minutes: they all seem to dip your toes in a magic lake and, by the time your knees are wet there’s always something really interesting going on (there’s even a ~5 minute jam called “bubble massage” that consists of nothing but recordings of water bubbling all overdubbed atop each other!) |
iasos’ digi-verb’ed autoharp bliss-outs have never been as well captured as on this record, which pretty much third-mindedly blueprinted for the entire new age / azimuth-leaning revival of the past few years ... highly recommended !!! |

this is the album that began both the legacy of iasos and the genre of "new age" music in 1975. this can be thought of as a sonic journey through a great many realms - from etheric tropical to inter-planetary - great for "consciousness-travelling" via sound. professionally duplicated on cassette for the first time in over 30 years onto type ii, chrome format.
designed for focused listening - definitely not as "background music".
i find your inter-dimensional music needing new words to describe it. i feel as though i were entering a new world - a new and very profoundly beautiful world.
