for the 2009 premier oph sound release, i've had the honor of working with ryan emmett (aka hunted creatures/the man behind dynamo sound collective label) from pittsbrugh, whom i also have much respect for musically and for helping me escape a long existential tape-less crisis.
hunted creatures' side includes a haunting live set recorded at brick bat books in philadelphia that evokes a sound somewhere between an all-shaman run steel mill and a master musicians of jojouka performance on the final date of an antarctic tour.
my includes the piece "a harem of moths," a polygamous lepidopteric jam pulsating with the growth of many-a-simultaneous machine assisted drongasm. oh, and some incense and some intricately decorated cushions too.
wrapped in a corrugated paper sheet and tied up with string, this cassette is limited to only 50 copies. |
