ac/dp "high voltage" lp
this material marks the first vinyl effort in a series of collaborative recordings by team andrew coltrane and david payne to surface from the depths of who knows since the beginning of 2008. coltrane had been doing his thing since forever round the detroit area, super underground with his hermitage label. since a stunner spotlight in the american tapes 1-sided lp -- "cold turkey vol 2" -- a.c. has been blasting the scene with more essential releases on labels such as rrrecords, cut hands, chondritic sound & sound holes. it was at the hands of john olson that the meeting of these two took place at his hosted shit noise fest in lansing during cold january. since then, the tape trade between michigan and ontario has been so healthy it's sick; cassettes treated, abused and trashed. tho the material on the lp documents their first work together, ac/dp collaborations in both sights and sound have already surfaced in limited quantity on tapes and in xeroxed artbooks from middle james co., including the still available c60s "tnt" & "zombie train zombie pain."
ac/dp "high voltage" 12inch side a= ac busts weird slow string reverb that vibrates vertebrae while payne layers acoustic guitar scraped stretched screeched for a spaced out creeper weed that continues to haunt ~ side b= warbles feedback waste & tape disgust decay insect hum & rumble fish.
