three tracks of indeterminate origin, single-mic room recordings ; wouldn’t have it any other way ...

second volume, a single 40-minute track covering a single live concert from 2006 - the fidelity is rock-bottom ; the music barely pushing through the swamp of room-noise & grating, over-modulated feedback. killer.
gods of tundra press release...

hello..stoked to announce a new series of cdrs by hair police. the series, our minds problems, is themed in that it has no theme. each volume will contain sounds recorded over the entire history of the band, covering all the bases. each volume will also be pretty limited (all in editions of 50, give or take). the first 2 volumes are now available...read on..

hair police "our minds problems" vol. 2 -- a full live show from 2006. the show has tunes from every record, including a version of "vocalist dan marino" from the "blow out your blood" album, with original member matt minter on vocals. also in the set are unreleased tunes that will be on the boys upcoming full length album on no fun productions. 9 songs, 1 track, total fucking madness.

note: this is from the show that is on the dvd that was included in the special editon of "obedience cuts" only available on the 06 uk tour.

first 2008 release from hair police ; this essentially private-press issue by the band’s mike connelly on his gods of tundra label - the first in a series of archival hits (packaged in digipaks w/xeroxed glue-on credits rendered in indecipherable basement-zombie grafitti, spray painted-discs ...) covering the band’s aktions dating back to their early basement days ...

this one offers a 5-partall electronic session” , whose individual blades of creeping bent act as a single mat of synthesized all-sound, with robert beatty’s signature pulse-work as strong as ever ...

hair police "our minds problems" vol. 1 -- taken from an all electronic session from 2007. sinister, creeping and all controls set to "mind warp." black psychedelic workouts from the deep dark south.

ffhtiocfaidh ar la” seven inch single record

  • gelignite

  • scourge of the nation
gods of tundra press release...
ffh "tiocfaidh ar la" 7".

a very unique release for both ffh and gods of tundra. after discovering we both shared an interest and obsession with the irish republican army and the conflicts and troubles in northern ireland, we decided working together on a project based on this would be worth while.

this 7" is the result. it is the most superior ffh offensive to date. superior in sound, in lyrics, and in ideas. artistically, it looks very little or nothing like any other got release, but all these things just add to the unique quality of the record. 26 +6 = 1.

editon of 250.

rodger stellafoucault zombie” long playing record

  • untitled (1)

  • untitled (2)
click the play button to hear an excerpt of "untitled (2)"
november 2007 release; a “solo” album from macronympha’s rodger stella, pressed on fancy blue vinyl ::

two sides of woozy, plunderphonic weirdness, not too far from j.o. mallander’s 60s experiments, or the more contemporary work of joseph hammer ... the first side slowly devolves into a haze of grey-ish noise, but the second side keeps the momentum up throughout, climaxing in a fury of random turntablism ...
gods of tundra press release...
rodger stella "foucault zombie" lp (gods of tundra)

100% pure psychedelic dementia from the man who is half responsible for both the greatest noise lp and interview of all time. but for those thinking this lp is gonna be full on slug to the gut rumble and tumble of macro, you can toss your expectations aside. rodger instead lays down some serioulsy bizzare and warped sounds to create a dizzying record..one that cannot be fully appreciated or understood with just one listen. each side long track builds, destroys, builds again, then falls into a black hole of incredibly strange sound. each listen will result in a new point of focus, and each time you still wont know what to think. everyone who was at no fun '07 knows that rodger's true set was him just being there for 4 days..and im very convinced that this is what he heard in his head the whole time.

walter carsonrecalcitrants” long playing record

  • untitled (1)

  • untitled (2)
click the play button to hear an excerpt of "untitled (2)"
first title on mike connelly’s gods of tundra label i’ve managed to get in stock (most releases are of the “friends & family” lineage - gone the way of the eagle shortly after launch; perched atop high cliffs for the remainder of their existence...)

here’s a lovely set of fried-brain lineage electronics from lexington, ky’s daryl cook (frequent collaborator of hair police / 3-legged-race’s robert beatty); somewhat crap-looking paste-on sleeve hides a lovely clear/milky-vinyl blend golden egg ::

two untitled side-long pieces; one for temple bells & mild electronic interference (quite lovely, actually...) & another working solo hysteresis-heavy chirping circuit-bent/crackle-box lineage electronics over an occasional bed of hushed drones ...
gods of tundra press release...
walter carson "recalcitrants"

debut full lenght lp by lexington's finest sound creater/destroyer. after a handful of tape releases on ides, rampart and gods of tundra, carson pulls out by far his most complete and excellent work to date. carson's work can be as complex as the person who's creating it. here we have 2 distinct side long pieces.

side a depicts a battle between organic clang/scrape and piercing ruined electronics. each faction ponies up with total trance like, but not very calming, moves. by the end you'll have just walked through a weird fucking fight, and time will not really matter anymore. and thats only side a.

side b removes the organics and goes straight for the brain with sharp shocks and tones. its not harsh, its not calming, its not drone...its just total deep fried electronics.

edition of 300, clear vinyl.

miscarriage "the dream is over" one-sided lp and cd
am 466 / ch 150 / hn doa / got doa

final copies of this animal troupes only outing. after one gig at the first no fun, one recording session and one totally unintense impromptu gig at grehs, the miscarriage dream is over. dillowaysted, the conman, greh foldger, johnny coorz, all electronic basement terror.

old marshall street basement recording, good sound, terrible concept / noise. dont think any members are proud of the name, after i realized i did the art and put the thing together all on mother's day, was kinda sickened myself.

comes with a cd of the re-inzaned last gig at grehs to save face. color covers, edition of 50.
