| | | drone syndicate (sweden) #ds 001/002 cd taj mahal travelers “live stockholm july, 1971” double compact disc set - live ‘71, part 1 (58:36)
- live ‘71, part 2 (59:43)
| 2008 repress of this superb double-disc set, covering an extended trance-out set from the takehisa kosugi-led taj mahal travelers ... two near hour-long pieces mostly concerned with electronics, whispered vocals, and kosugi’s searing/soaring violin ... impeccable, as always.
ps ... heard a rumor a few years back that this particular recording, despite being advertised as the stockholm concert from ‘71, is actually a recording of a session that kosugi & co. did for radio bremen at the tail-end of the band’s existence in ‘72, it’s date & location masked to draw suspicion away from those whose hands would have otherwise been found wrist-deep in the pudding ... but you didn’t hear it from me ... |
