debut release by boston bred electronic composer sam-soplerfo. sam is a key figure in the post-toneburst/lollygagger scene. on this one sam works a few very carefully crafted skitter-sequences through a number of different timbres, ranging from the raging organ & breaks fury of plus to the beautiful tine-simplicity of obliv to the broken glass of paper bags.
this is the precursor to sam's 12" on zod, which features a remix by none other than keith-hrvatski. there's nothing we like more than a 7" record of odd sounds, sam has outdone himself with a fine effort involving micro-step-sequenced rhythms and acute sound design.
