after about 10 attempts, i finally caved in to mr. garlo’s pressure to bring in a few copies of the “other” wind-guitar discs... this being the third and most recent, featuring electric guitars and basses played by the wind alongside native american instrumentation (you and i both know what the connotations of mixing anything with native american instrumentation are... i’m not going to say it... let’s just say it begins with the letter “n” and ends with “ew age”...)

again, not as essential as the “pure” sound on vent de guitares, but enlightening and crisp all the same...

commençé à santa fe avec verdell primeaux & johnny mike ( parmi les leaders actuels des chants de guérison) et fernando cellicion ( flûtiste zuni) cet album n'est pas de la world musique. earth link est un mélange de chants de guérison, de rythmes d'aujourd'hui, de flûte " indienne " de guitares jouées par le vent et de chansons traitant d'humanisme et de la réalité de la vie actuelles des " native " américains.

recorded in santa fe with verdell primeaux & johnny mike (among the current leaders of the “curing songs”) and fernando cellicion (zuni flutist) this album is not of world music. earth link is a mixture of songs of cure, rates/rhythms of today, "indian" flute of guitars played by the wind and songs treating of humanism and the reality of the life current of "native" american.

this is the first of the three “wind-guitar” discs, featuring electric basses played by the wind in “concert” with japanese traditional instrumentation (hence the “oriental” theme overall.)

slightly better than the “native american instruments” one, still not anywhere near as nice as the “vent de guitares” but again, something you’ll want to hear if “vent” collapses your gurney ...

kazé veut dire "vent" en japonais. en 1999 garlo réalisait l'installation géo acoustique kazé. 32 guitares, des furins, des bambous flutes, et des oriflammes étaient installés dans le vent. les guitares en accords ouverts et les autres éléments étaient principalement joués par le vent. une exposition a suivi dans le centre de fukuoka ainsi que des concerts. avec les enregistrements géo acoustiques, les concerts mélangeaient des musiciens rock occidentaux (basse batterie guitare) et des musiciens japonais (taïkos et shô). les textes japonais et français sont tous inspirés par le vent ( haïkus, poèmes et chansons).

kazé wants to say "japanese wind". in 1999 garlo carried out the installation géo acoustic kazé. 32 guitars, of the furins, the bamboos flutes, and the streamers were installed in the wind. the guitars in open agreements and the other elements were mainly played by the wind. an exposure followed in the center of fukuoka as well as concerts. with the acoustic recordings géo, the concerts mixed western musicians rock'n'roll (low battery guitar) and japanese musicians (taïkos and shô). the japanese and french texts all are inspired by the wind (haïkus, poems and songs).
