february 2011 release ; cd issue of this 1979 recording, issued in 2003 lp (orig. c/o andrew chalk & christoph heemann’s die stadt sub-label three poplars) ... ... as to the piece’s seemingly static, purely looped nature, here’s what it looks like, mathemagically :: ... you can clearly see some change / development in the waveform there ... but yes, largely a 20.39~ second loop of piano warble, repeated 132 times ... i’ll count this as among my personal favorite of basinki’s work ; submit to it, or let it destroy you ...
