february 2008 release ; a one-sided lp featuring the duo of lambsbread’s zac davis (guitar) and graveyards’ ben hall (drums) - zac’s joe morris idolatry comes across as clean as his tone, but the best comparison i can make (which has been made time & time again - i know - but it’s apt ... ) is to the derek bailey / jamie muir “dart drug” lp on incus ...

suburban michigan is a breeding ground where every weirdo has a label, a band, and a handful of secret/under the radar collaborative projects. here graveyards' ben hall and lambsbread's zac davis create a monolithic one sider influenced by too many private press jazz records and abstract instrumentalism.

davis turns in his effect pedals for nothing; pure clean tones plucked up and down scales and bridges so uniquely that it is easy to confuse the guitar for a sax. ben hall drums like a man with four arms; constant rattling trap tapping and assorted pots and pans clattering, flowing completely smoothly. a perfect union of sound.in an edition of 300 copies in screened chipboard sleeves by anthony decanini.

an excellent cassette to make you feel sea sick from the guitarist of traum. the a side sounds more like a thick metal cable fluttering in the wind than a guitar. nauseating low end fluttering waves interrupted by occasional high end frantic scratches which sounds like amplified birds cleaning themselves on the wire. the b side is a barrage of high end squeals and squeaks, metallic whistles, flapping insects, stabbing needles, knife sharpening, baby animals crying, wild boar breathing, paper ripping, and more... all made with a guitar ! a truly fucked up recording!

originally self released in an edition of only 20 copies.
