when it somes to norwegian drone music three things come to mind: sindre bjerga, head honcho of the fabulous gold soundz commonwealth, his main-squeeze jan who dispatches harsh-noise nugs in his own right on the tibprod express and icebergs. i can safetly assert that neither bjerga or iversen are conducting their 21st century dronescrapers from the echelons of iceburgs. their ongoing collab project finds the two pressing their bustling intonation devices to the feculence of the suburban trash heap, collecting languid tone repose from the torpor of sputtering instruments meant for rags. this is the future of impoverished musics that everybody has heard about, the sound of low batteries in the post-kaleidoscopic void, the skeletal repose of melodic felicity. beniffer editions urges you to toast to the end of icebergs!

this cdr comes in an elaborately folded tap-paper draw bridge, screened and made frigid like norwegian winter to serve.

the second in the joe+n collaboration series (the first being with antony milton.) this release consists of six tracks totally 27+ minutes, this is a long-distance collaboration between sindre bjerga (gold soundz label man) and joe+n (aka joe tunis, carbon label man).

the two traded tracks over 2006/2007, sindre started the recordings with some heavy synth loops/drones/etc. joe then overdubed various instruments (guitars, drums, field recordings), extending/looping the originals at times, to get them to a final state.

[packaged in a heavy-duty vinyl sleeve with a transluscent red "dimple" cover, artwork beneath, and wrapped in a band of metallic foil tape.]

kjetil came to our attention way early 90s after we bought some cool looking lathe cut lp at the rough trade store in neal's court, london. we learned he was from norway and was central to what would become an amazing scene of drone experimentalism from that country's nether burgs. solid and out there.
