|november 2008 release ; debut from this new aggregate of reto “rm74” mäder, roger “herpes ö deluxe” ziegler, and christoph hess ... the guitar/turntable/electronics lineup is certainly unique, and by bathing everything in a tank of long-tail reverb, things get awfully cloudy awful quick ; shades of tim hecker’s approach are evident throughout, and in fact i’d think fans of said would have much to sink their teeth into here ...|
ps. note that this one comes in a rather nice acid-free, matte-black digipack instead of the standard utech/kasner “flat pack” ...

|switzerland’s sum of r is reto mäder (rm74) and christoph hess and roger ziegler (herpes ö deluxe) constructing/deconstructing sound in ways that infest and cloud the interior of the mind. the implements: electronics, bass guitar, piano, drums, harmonium and lenco turntables. the science: deep pulsations, organic drones, melodic feedback accompaniment, vinyl loops, analog sound sources, reversed audio, haunting vocal treatments. the sum: a living, breathing organism that sustains varied levels of function without ever losing its holistic unity.|
