the ninth tape in the asr "versus" split series is a disorienting voyage into the depths.

on side a robert turman (co-founder of non and frequent collaborator with aaron dilloway) masterfully reassembles looped portions of neon depth. robert creates a stark post-industrial nightmare with a bone chilling collision of siren and serenity.

side b is the original track that robert used to construct "the depth of neon" with. "an index of right & wrong" is an anxiety laden trip taken from a 2008 collab between john ellitott (outer space) & david russell (collapsed arc).

pro-dubbed cassettes graciously mastered by wyatt howland.

october 2009 release ; proper, replicated cd version of this collaboration between non’s robert turman (yes, there were other people in non besides boyd rice ; on the earlier material at least) & aaron dilloway ...

four discrete pieces, with dillo deferring to turman for all tape-mangle activities (aaron sticks to his modular synth throughout, presumably sending his output to robert for further processing) ... after a fairly quiet/subdued intro, things start to get quite woolly (listen to the sound-sample for the transition) with loads of mechanical and voltage-controlled clicking dotting a wasteland of sub-bass voids & almost imperceptible gradient-shift(s) ...

robert turman & aaron dilloway - blizzard - cd

collaboration between aaron dilloway (ex-wolf eyes) and robert turman (ex-non, z.o. voider). recorded in january 2009 during a horrible ohio snowstorm. dilloway on synthesizer and tape delays and turman on tapes and effects. very minimal, very slow, very cold. frozen and stuck in the snow.
