| may 2009 release ; gorgeous new outing from reiko & tori, culled from live duo recordings from 2005 & 2006 ... frankly, they’ve never sounded better, with reiko’s drawn-out, breathy vocals framed perfectly by tori’s piano (and, on one track, some sort of detuned harp - listen to the sound-sample) ...
once again, siwa’s alan sherry has raised the bar on the “luxury” cd edition, the disc housed inside a folio w/ a collection of 8 individual cards, designs by namio kudo (below) on one side, the credits on the other ... |

'light' cd
now available on cd in an edition of 500. the cd is housed in a hand assembled screen printed slipcase with 8 card inserts. includes lyrics in japanese and english. artwork by namio kudo. printing, assembly and layout by siwa. performed by reiko and tori kudo with guest kazuko matsushima (viola on track 2)
'light' was recorded live in 2005 and 2006 and features duo versions of tracks from the last three self released reiko kudo albums along with two previously unrecorded songs. |
