“the booklet explains us why this first album of the label vert pituite the beautiful one and the musician régis bunel was recorded on minidisc in march 2001 in tacheles, in berlin, at the time of the exposure hier und jetzt of very régis bunel and the painter aurore marette (they form with them two pink is not red).
the three parts of the album propose a mixture between an acoustic saxophone tenor and a prepared saxophone, modulated by the means of an electronic device. during these imrovisations, balance between the two instruments is rather meticulous, creating a multiplicity of colors and revealing a vast fringe of sounds recognizable or not, repetitive or transitory.
distorted, melody, clear, strident, bruitists, parasitized, percussifs, intersected with silence... new horizons for those and those which would have believed that the saxophone was only the prerogative of a dusty be-bop.” |
