moving units / wives / john wiesesplit” long playing record

  • moving units - anyone (4:01)

  • wives & john wiese - manchurch (8:53)
2005 release ; split release by moving units & wives (with guest john wiese), released on the post present medium label (run out of l.a. venue “the smell”) ... skip the a-side entirely (which, it turns out, is a fucking junior sanchez mix !!!) - the flip is where the action is ... an earlier incarnation of the band no age with wiese gronktrompulating all up in it...
post present medium press release...
ppm6 - moving units / wives (w/ john wiese) 12"
2 songs. printed stickers on cover.

moving units

3 guys. disco punk meets some other sort of pop rock. they have toured with blur and nine inch nails. mu have one of the most awesome and friendliest drummers on the planet who used to be in other bands like festival of dead dear and year future. if you haven’t heard them, i am sure one of your friends have, and if they haven’t then i am positive one of your cousins or one of her friends have. or go to the magazine section at the bookstore or coffee shop and look at an "arts and culture" magazine and i will bet you money that their name will be in there somewhere.

wives

the band started in 2001 and played their first show at the smell in los angeles with dave stone and orthrelm. three us tours, six or seven west coast tours, and one uk and european tour later they broke up and played their last show in london, england in 2005. two of the members have started no age and are now playing shows. wives were a punk band, and the album "erect the youth problem" is probably considered a good record, or maybe it is considered a bad or horrible record, but i think it came out pretty good.
