- sfag (2) (22:49)
| september 2010 release ; first release we’ve managed to stock on this new, malaysian (!?) tape-label :: aformat-accurate reissue of this ... perhaps confusing entrant into maurizio bianchi’s discography, initially released on broken flag (#bf 18b) in 1983 as something of a “companion” to “symphony for a genocide” (#bf 18a) ...
this is easily one of m.b.’s most dissipated works, consisting of side-length stretches of heavily tape-echo’ed organ & synthesizer patternage, in his perfectly indescribable “no tomorrow” style ... this edition comes as a pro-duplicated / imprinted cassette (old-style, baked-on ink ; can only speculate as to the current state of the malaysian cassette-duplication scene) with a nicely printed j-card ... |

| mt003 - maurizio bianchi 'sfag' tape
"s.f.a.g." is the deliberate and analogic destruction, in whole or in part, of the prepacked sound. as perpetrator of this work, i had the aim to annihilate the modular particles themselves and the objectives of the comformist music with its foolish institutions of culture, language, national feelings, religion, and the economic existence in order to avoid the annulment of the personal creativity, security, liberty, health, dignity, and even the lives of the individuals belonging to experimental-underground field. the morbid resonances of this humoral opus will floodlight the chemosurgical delitescence of eliminative genocide in order to knell the downfall of the present mass-media system
- maurizio bianchi. |
originally released as a private tape in 1981 which was only available through private contact with maurizio bianchi, sfag was a psycho-specular piece to the more widely-known 'symphony for a genocide', sounding significantly different from it. this mirror tapes reissue corresponds with the deleted cd reissue by tegal records in 1994, presented on analogue tape format again for the first time since the 1980s tape editions.
includes:
professionally duplicated & factory sealed cassette tape with tape inlay printed in full-colour on 157gsm paper
