it’s worth noting that these are possibly the most “professional” tapes that have crossed my folding iceberg in a while ; each have “pro printed” shells (white with black silkscreened text/design) with long fold-out letter-pressed j-cards ... in my mind, these releases go a long way towards legitimizing the cassette as an archival “art” format ...

on the tape ; justin’s rumination(s) on “pressure,” ranging from the titular track’s woozy, sub-audible rumble through the painful “through zero” feedback clusters of “compression” to the minute throbbing growl of “pushing” (listen to the sound-sample) ...
