josephine was originally called party of doom. maybe that's not supposed to be out there, but there it is. jefre cantu-ledesma & milton cross join forces and dial things up to cathartic. "you are perfect today" is as warm as warm can be without edging into hot. droning harmonium and guitar scrawl melt into the smoothest silk. this is sunkissed music, ecstatic as it echoes into the morning. within these massive sprawls are precise movements puncuated with crisp sounds. each moment is beautiful but the whole is spectacular.
