| | | antifrost (greece) #afro 2027 cd ilios “vento elektra” compact disc | antifrost is a label run by a russian fellow from greece living in barcelona. so right there you’ve got some clouded geographic emphasis making this whole outing somewhat lucrative...
the label mostly releases harsh-oriented noises from what should (at this point) be a familiar lot of sound-researchers, all on limited-run compact disc (proper, replicated ones) in minimal-inf0rmation/design-spec cardstock sleeves. they don’t give much away via visual cues, but what lurks beneath often warrants further inspection.
i’ve gone through and cherry picked the cream of this particular crop... this being the most recent release by the label’s figure-head. it’s a cloudly/misty affair, all ghost-bone-remnants taking about 12 minutes to gain “audibility” before a spectral slurry comes to the fore, briefly, before dying once again, slowly, o’er the next half hour.
will slowly be assessing the rest of this lot, thought to offer them first for the initiated rather than after i had done so... |
