| may 2011 release ; ... for the first time in three years, here & below are a batch of new titles from jonas “grasslung” / “antiquity” asher’s phaserprone, an imprint (literally, in this case, for once :: each of these comes as a pro-duped / imprinted number in a standard norelco, albeit wrapped in a gorgeously letter-pressed j-card of jonas’ own devising / execution that just screams “class” not to mention “meticulousness”) that has survived a northerly re-route (from baltimore to brooklyn, no less) with its sensibilities intact ...
... debuting in 2002 with the espen mycotoxin split with detente in the world of destructable characters, the shadowy hsdom here drops his first release since 2007’s synb collaboration, consisting of four pieces so disparate i’m finding it hard to excise a representational segment (in the end i chose the a-side’s closing vectors of slowly pulsing analogue drone into zick-zack-ian wooze ... over, say, the opening dark industrial voice over ... or the chiming berlin-school triplicate of “machine” ... or even the closing pan(a)sonic style voltage-pulse into errant bbd squeak of the closer ; all amazing) ... |
