the source material for this release is a live recording of a pre-basketcase project called mr. asthma from sometime before 1999. originally an improv jam session on detroit public radio, this updated mutation by nate young consists of tape manipulation, reeds, brass, cello and strange, metallic loops completely restructured to sound ancient. sort of a collaboration a decade later. |
