| april 2009 release ; first new music from mr. tazartès in many a year, purportedly a self-curated “sampler plate” from his vast archives ...
right off the bat we’re met with a wall of seemingly unrelated taped fragments :: a couple has an argument in a hallway, a headless drum-machine triggers a maudlin reaction from a former mime ... later several children mimic slowed-down bird song, mr. tazartès sings over a solemn organ part before emulating bedouin folk songs (overdubbed) over an electronic ostinato ... much later still things really hit their stride as nine minutes of looped electronics, field recordings, chanting, and all manner of mystery noises lead us down a path that had otherwise been left undiscovered ... until it was mapped out by tazartès inhis imitable style ...
unfinished black digipack case ; black cd. no track titles, recording credits, nor credits of any kind other than the sticker on the cove ... highly recommended !!! |
