a-side’s a blow-out / up (heavy on the excoriation tip ; extremely gratifying, churning excess ... laughlin especially sounds octal-limbed & super-charged) ; b-side rises from a whimper into a half-caf version of said, with a bit more leeway for textural segments (listen to the sound-sample for a nice bit of ben’s rusty, decomposed clarinet wail & laughlin’s expertly graded rise into abandon) ...

heavy rock formation re-location station, encompassing geographic volcanic jazz fire blasts. stretched rubber band tape loops collide against a superposition stratified manmade stone dam. fractured crust giving way to ash and molten metal. charred remains of soundscape glowing from slow burning embers till it extinguishes into a calcified cool down.

j guy laughlin on skins and benjamin osborne on tape loops and clarinet. mastered and recorded by justin coulter.
