arbor (usa) #arbor 130 ep

copper glovesurviving the garden of hate” seven inch single record

  • liquification process

  • protogenerator
february 2010 release ; debut 7 from the suddenly quite prolific door, highlighting his work via two carefully plotted constructions mixing plunderphonic/found audio, “automaticsynthesis, and all manner of cracked electronic effluvia ...

really great stuff, as free and wild as “liveelectronic music comes these days ... nicely pressed record to boot, housed in a splatter-heavy sleeve of door’s own devising ...

arbor 130 copper glove surviving the garden of hate 7”

copper glove, the new project from baltimore’s door (formerly earth crown; who shared splits with secret abuse and kites on past arbor releases), shows a further progression of his one man industrial-noise synth unit. in opposition to his former work, copper glove is more mindful of composition; utilizing tone generators and processed synthesis and vocals to present a dense cut up analog form of industrial concréte. door’s nihilistic optimism carries itself with a sense of effortlessness; ideological aggression, a pure translation. with focused energy, the noise of the machine continues as man controls it. the city is destroyed but we can still live here, forever.

in an edition of 300 7”s with silkscreened covers with white ink on metallic black paper and printed labels by door.

monorail trespassing (usa) #mt74 cs

copper glovedead space / no power” c25 cassette

  • closet
  • hull pressure
  • generator iv
  • drop

  • sdf (blown)
  • radiate
  • eject/frenzied
  • control + release
january 2010 release ; second-to-last tape from door’s copper glove project ...

particularly glorpy cracked electronic spew with occasional “pocket” rhythms, akin to cf’s mark lord material (in fact, door’s art/spec here would appear to owe a great deal to christopher’s whole aesthetic) ... promising stuff, let’s hope door’s next iteration is as interesting ...

[mt74cs] copper glove dead space / no power c-25

you know door. if you don't, you'll have to after this. equal parts 60's diy electronics and post-apocalyptic industrial survival (see also: 'city limits,' future kill'), this is his penultimate work; eight tracks, no two alike. from minimal rhythms to electro-industrial-noise and back, always with an element of tension. take this into your bunker.

edition of 125, black and white glossy double-sided covers and labels featuring artwork by door.
