april 2011 release ; ... i’ve lost count as to which album number this is (chronologically speaking) from the finnish “occult black metal” group circle of ouroborus, but this 2010 set (initially issued on disc by kuunpalvelus) continues the band’s ... yes, “underwater riffs” & generally washed-out sensibility with some almost ambient-leaning guitar work (listen to the beginning / end of the sound-sample to your left) ...

the ouroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon swallowing its own tail and forming a circle. it has been used to represent many things over the ages, but it most generally symbolizes ideas of cyclicality, unity, or infinity.
