| 2008 release ; ... ok, now before you even read this, push the sound-sample button to your left, close your eyes, and honestly tell me that it isn’t quite good ...
it is, isn’t it? “all proceeds paid directly to the estate of wojciech frykowski, pursuant to court order.” ... in case you need something to assuage the guilt of wanting / needing this in your life ... some fine electric playing by beausoleil in there as well, all but buried amidst the surging cedar / no-noise swirl ... |

| esp 2003 charles manson - sings
charles manson visited new york city in the early 60s with his guitar and his songs in a vain search for recognition. in beverly hills, famous musicians gave him their studio to produce this album. he has vocal backup from the women of the "family". during a stay in a san francisco prison, he met a fellow inmate, and gave him the album to release. while manson was being tried and convicted of participation in the murder spree, the government attempted to discredit the hippie movement by citing him as an example, hoping to defuse the rising tide of anger among the population over the war in viet nam.
because his songs were considered musically and historically significant, this record was released briefly by esp in 1974, and is now being reissued. all royalties are paid to the son of one of the victims, who obtained a judgment against manson.
