| akira yamamichi "pulse beats" 3" cd
akira yamamichi is born in fukuoka, japan in 1963. educated in engineering, video and film editing, jazz, and contemporary music. at institute of sound techniques. formed 'cci' unit with ryoji ikeda in 1990-1993. also known for the breakbeat jazz outfit montage. so far his work was published on a variety of compilation cd's, such as the highly acclaimed 'statics' (compiled by ryoji ikeda), 'silver world' (on soup disk) and 'chikyu(u)' (on ash international). as montage he has released full length cd's on soup-disk and sub rosa and remixed dj vadim.
this 3" cd is his first own release (to be followed by an album on meme later this year) and has three piece pulse variations->harddisk editing pulse tones... sounds that stopped making sense. less sine wave variations the say ikeda, but more beats. ultra sonic frequencies - adjust speakers before you play this. |
