| november 2006 release; the fourth volume in this impeccable series covering virtually all “output” of the japanese nhk-studio from the mid 1950s through the early 1970s... output in quotes due to the fact that very little of music has even been heard in the western hemisphere either “back in the day” or in the intervening years...
the highlight of this volume is unquestionably toshi ichiyanagi’s “tokyo 1969” - just a ridiculous meld of pre-psf/high-rise “group-sounds”/psych-overload vs. ichiyanagi’s overmodulated synths and noise - way too good to be true (just listen to the sound sample !!!)
extremely sorry about the prices here; i’ve done everything in my power to be able to offer these at “less-than-japanese” prices, but, when you get down to it, they are in fact japanese cds which cost on average double their western counterparts... |
